We want to thank the tremendous positive vibes from our musical entertainment, The Unlikely Strummers, a ukulele band that wrote custom serenades for some of their own favorite trucks, and Man & Wife, the Americana duo of Kris and Tara Hansen who recently won Favorite Americana Act in the 2021 RI Music Awards.

Over 220 culinary fans made the trek from all corners of RI to the R1 Entertainment Center parking lot to celebrate and raise a glass to some of the best mobile food, and the tastiest drinks from around the Ocean State. The Keane’s team proudly provides a unique wood-fired catering experience, offering some of the best barbecue in the region to clients all over Southern New England.Monday evening, beer flowed, fries sizzled, waffles crisped and music drifted in the breeze at the 2021 Motif Food Truck and Drink Awards ceremony. In 2020 we also opened a popular BBQ take-out service in the Edgewood neighborhood of Cranston. Since then, Keane’s has continued to build a reputation for exceptional food and service. Through some chance work opportunities he became fascinated with traditional southern barbecue and learned his way around a wood-fired smoker.Īfter welding his own smoker at the Steel Yard in Providence, Padraic held his first catered event at Whalers Brewing in South Kingstown in 2016.
Padraic grew up working in his parents village pub in Galway, Ireland and moved to the United States in 2015. They have brought together their love of wood-fired barbeque with fermentation and locally sourced products. Keane’s Wood-Fired Catering (originally named Boru Barbecue and Catering), was founded in 2016 by husband and wife, Padraic and Kaylyn Keane.
